The team at Eco Power Energy Ltd are working with the government to help increase the number of electric cars and cut emissions.
We help install chargers and systems across the UK, as well as help people apply for government grants for installations and vehicles to help build towards a sustainable future.
We are helping the government with their push towards cutting emissions, with the EV Grant Scheme offering a maximum of £350 or 75% towards the government schemes.
We are accredited by the Office of Low Emissions Vehicles which helps with the installation of grant-funded car chargers. The criteria for the grant includes:
Keeping an Electric Vehicle (New, Pre-Owned, or Leased)
Became the Registered Keeper on or after October 2016
Can Provide Evidence of Keepership
Have Permission from the Property Owners (If Applicable)
Have a Suitable Domestic Property for Installation
Have Suitable Off-Road Parking
Our services are still available to those who don’t qualify, but installation costs will apply.
Before a domestic charge point can be installed, the standard requirements for installation need to be met. These include:
Requirements for Charge Point Installation
A maximum run of 10 metres from the source of supply (consumer unit) to charge point
The property’s consumer unit must be RCD-protected and have a spare way for protecting the outgoing charge point circuit
Cable to be surface mounted and clipped direct
The property must have an earthing arrangement complying with current regulations i.e. gas and water services must be earthed
The charge point must be fixed to the main property and able to utilise the property’s earthing arrangement
The homeowner must comply with all current OZEV Domestic Scheme Terms and Conditions
We will carry out a pre-installation site survey, with any installation work required outside these criteria quoted and incurring additional charges. Non-typical installations will also incur charges, these include long cable runs and improvement to earthing.
