Don’t worry, our services are still available to those who don’t qualify, however some installation costs will apply.
Before a domestic charge point can be installed, the standard requirements for installation need to be met. These include:
Requirements for Charge Point Installation
A maximum run of 10 metres from the source of supply (consumer unit) to charge point
The property’s consumer unit must be RCD-protected and have a spare way for protecting the outgoing charge point circuit
Cable to be surface mounted and clipped direct
No groundwork
The property must have an earthing arrangement complying with current regulations i.e. gas and water services must be earthed
The charge point must be fixed to the main property and able to utilise the property’s earthing arrangement
The homeowner must comply with all current OZEV Domestic Scheme Terms and Conditions
We will carry out a pre-installation survey which can be completed remotely or with a physical visit where required. We always make any installation work required outside of this criteria completely transparent, quoting any potential additional charges. Any non-typical installations will also naturally incur charges relevant to the job, these include things such as long cable runs and improvement to earthing
